This is where the students learn the basics of being a cadet. Here they learn the 4 main Army Values;

RESPECT: Treat people as they should be treated!

INTEGRITY: Do what's right, legally and morally!

HONOR: Live up to ALL the Army Values!

LOYALTY: Bear true allegiance to the US Constitution, your Unit, and other Cadets and Armed Forces Members.

This is also where they learn all the basics of being a cadet. They learn the US Army General Orders, along with the Phonetic Alphabet and Military Time. They also learn basic steps in facing and marching. (Drill & Ceremonies) After they complete this training phase, they move on to "Advanced Individual Training" (AIT) where they will start to learn a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and begin familiarization with Military Leadership.
